Russia Tour 2005

In brief;
I flew to Beslan in Russia with fellow performers "Devil stick Peat", Pablo and our fantastic leader Simon who organised the trip with the aid of Amra and Madina... Two wonderfull girls!
Moscow was cold and I bought 8 hats and bribed a policman 500 Rubles outside the Kremlin in Red square. The 6 flights in as many days were smooth although I had a cold for the last three and had to ask for second helpings. A fat miserable woman sat next to me on one and told me to sit still... when her meal came her fold down table broke and she had to move, never to return!
We were adopted by the local mafia who ended up firing a gun out of the car window... we were driven up to the mountains in the dark to see the mass grave from the plague and chased by a wolf along a track full of boulders with a sheer drop to one side. We performed for over 2000 Kids around the town of Beslan in 7 schools and paid our respects to the ones who lost their lives last September.
I met some of the most wonderfull people on Earth.

This is a photo I took from the plane as I left Beslan... they say a picture speaks a thousand words!

How about a million?

The Brighton Residence

I spent three crazy years here in a georgous flat with an ever changing view. Bowling in the summer and kite surfing all year round. There is much debate about the stones on Brighton beach... are they natural or did the Prince Regent have them specially bought in!? I know the truth... haha!!

My Artwork

A drawing of a clown I did at 4 years old... ya see! It was the massive power of Visual Realisation that led me to be a clown! In fact at four when asked what I wanted to do when I grew up (Not that I have yet) my reply was always," I want to be either a Clown or a Tramp!"The other painting was one I did for my Mother's Birthday last year. She was living in a cottage by the sea in Southern Ireland and was at a real transitional period at the time... The painting represents choices and pathways of the future... you will notice that there are two obvious ones and the great unknown in the distance... this has become apparant as the outcome as she is now looking after my Father who has MND.... That was an unexpected choice she decided to make. I admire her tremendously for it.And the last picture is me starting another painting... I think the start of anything sets the foundations for its future. Rather like the greeting you receive at the resturant door!

Glastonbury Festival 2005

Ahhh another Glasto... this time was a real treat for me being in the program and I had a very chilled one making things out of clay, lying in a tent during the biggest thunderstorm I have ever been lying in tent under, lots of dressing up and catching up with friends. I have been going to this perticular festival for the last 14 years and have had some really wild times including... actually I think I will save the details for more personal conversation!

Berlin 2005

This was a short trip to see what Berlin was doing these days... its doing lots! Myself and Dan here won a nice little bounty at the casino and had a great night out. I had to carry him home after he fell asleep on a table while I was off my head pole dancing on a stage! It was a memorable trip!

Mother!

Bracing the elements is my Mother by her faveroite part of the beach at Brittas Bay on the East coast of Southern Ireland. She loves the great outdoors and when I asked her yesterday what she would like to do for her Birthday this year, prehaps a trip to the theatre, movies, comedy? Nope... A walk on Dartmoor in the dark was her request! What a great Mum!
One of her latest quotes while cooking was," If it looks burnt it must be done!"
